Once the ship was decontaminated and the crew was well again, we went to Star Base 638 to receive our assignments. The bacteria was recorded in Federation Archives and the planet quarantined. The Captain gave me some time off to rest after all that intense hard work. The pregnant ones had to be watched the hardest because of the strength of the antibiotic. When we arrived at the star base, an admiral gave us our orders. Captain Metzger was to take the MA out for training runs. Alera, Qamtu and I were to proceed to a hidden and secluded moon base to do intelligence work. We were to pretend to be pirates and do some intelligence gathering on enemy ships. Captian Kah Chang, a Ferengi, was our cohort in this. We'll see how this works out. I will certainly help them with their disguises. Qamtu is now White Blade's Ops person. I've made Alera Tactical. I'm taking her out to practice shooting asteroids until she has some skill. I just hope this will all work out.

Today was our first trip out as pirates. I put my husbands in their quarters on the base and warned them not to expect luxury. I still need one more husband. Well, back to the trip. We left in Kah Chang's ship, the GP. We came across an Orion syndicate freighter. When we attacked, they didn't put up much of a fight. It was almost too easy. When the Orion's shields were gone on the aft side, I transported the cargo to our holds. Then we left. The Orion freighter did get off one shot at us. It only shook us up a bit and did no real damage. When we had left, cloaked and gone a fair distance away, we checked the stolen cargo. It was all Federation and Klingon weapons. Obviously stolen. Who were they for? Who's starting a war of their own? We returned to Kah Chang's base to unload the cargo. What will be our next target? That base Alera and I spotted? Maybe. Maybe not.

Intelligence work isn't easy. We're investigating an Orion base to find out what it's doing in this area. Well, that is, I'm investigating the base. I'm wearing a Federation holosuit and going in invisible. That way I can sneak around the base and find out why they're there and just how big it is. The Glorious Profit dropped in close and let me get out onto the asteroid. Now, it's up to me. And I have to use a radio. My telepathy isn't working on Alera or Kah Chang. And Qamtu is Klingon. Klingons are about as telepathic as a rock. I'm maintaining radio silence unless it's badly needed. Now, to investigate.

I investigated the base quietly and quickly. There was one level full of fuel for ships and one cargo bay full of crates of stolen weapons. This base is a fueling base for the syndicate freighters. They also pick up loads of stolen weapons to ship to a new location. Older, slower freighters drop off loads of weapons for smaller, faster freighters to take away. Then I went to a lone computer terminal and got some information on the base. I moved to a second one to get the rest so they wouldn't get suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised they're selling the stolen weapons to the Romulans. I disagreeassin training makes me well suited for this spy work. When I returned to the Glorious Profit, it was decided to find some way in and steal the three ships sitting there. Using the transporters on board the three ships in combination with the one on Glorious Profit, we could steal all the fuel and weapons from the base. Then we could destroy the base. If the Orions ever found out who had done it, we would be hunted by the syndicate for some time. They would probably put bounties on our heads. Enough of that. First to plan out the theft of the base's goodies.

We have watched the ships being loaded with goods from that Orion base. They're ready to leave now. Qamtu, Captain Chang and I each beamed onto one of the three ships. Our duty was to take over the ships and slip off into space with them. I found myself in the cargo hold of one of the ships. A guard came walking in. I used one of my sleep darts to put him out of my misery. After I tied up the sleeping guard, I had to kill the other one. Then I made my way to the bridge. There were only two Orions there. One at Helm and one at Tactical. I put them to sleep too and tied them up. Then I took over Helm. It feels good to have a ship to fly again. I signalled the Glorious Profit that I had taken over the ship. It all seemed to have gone well. Then there were Orion ships on the scanners, moving to intercept us. I prepared for evasive maneuvers and am slaving Tactical to Helm. Let's see how well this ship fights.

The Orion ships intercepted and demanded to be allowed to board us. We refused and started a run for a Star Fleet patrol. They, unfortunately, were larger and faster than us and slowly gained on us. I brought up shields and made the weapons ready. If they wanted a fight, they would be getting one. At least these little ships were maneuverable. We all started doing evasive maneuvers when they were in firing range. Then it came time when we could no longer run. I turned the ship around and went after one of the larger ships, doing my best to evade being shot. I was hit a couple times and the ship shook. I was NOT going down without a fight! The fight was going against us. Then, as the humans would say, the cavalry arrived. The Star Fleet patrol started attacking the Orion battle cruisers. The fight turned against the Orions. I concentrated on one ship's engines and weapons array. I had taken out the engines finally when it decided to self destruct. Cowards! Then the fight was over. Now it's time to turn prisoners and black market loads over to the authorities. Blast!

We have spent a day relaxing. Qamtu worked on her systems instead. Alera spent time doing some research on criminals. She is trying to figure out the logic behind criminals. Most criminals don't have rules to follow. Just survival. Those associated with clans or guilds, on the other hand, do have some rules to follow. And a loyalty to maintain to the clan or guild. Hmmm. I should be getting higher payments for my kills. I have 20 kills under my belt and am a specialist in archaic weapons. ::smiles toothily:: A crossbow is deadly and silent. Well, back to the relaxation. I spent an hour in the holodeck relaxing with weapons practice and a good fight session. Then I had a warm bath. Warm to me could be 50 degree water. Then I went back to the Glorious Profit to see what was going on. After that I went to my room to read something light. When I heard gunshots, I went to investigate, I found Chang using a .38 Police Special. I checked it out and found it was dirty. I'll have to teach him how to clean it and maintain it. Or it'll blow up in his hand. Back to work tomorrow.

We have repelled the attack on Chang's base. I still have a feeling there's a tracker on the Glorious Profit. The Michael Angelo arrived to shoot the Orion ship attacking us. When the battle was finished, it was found that Captain Metzger had been taken by secret boarders. He is a prisoner somewhere. The MA has been sabotaged on top of it. The shields, weapons and engines have been affected so that they are working poorly. I have been asked to take White Blade out and be the eyes and ears for the MA. Yes, the sensors and communications have been sabotaged too. White Blade is glad to be out and wants to help. I think he would best be sitting on top of the MA. That way his sensors can be used and the MA could still go into warp.

The MA has been repaired again. Chang has taken over as the captain and we have gone off to find Metzger. I tried to help in the search by using my telepathy to track Metzger. I caught a glimmer of what could be his mind on the fourth planet of a solar system. There was an asteroid nearby that had a base. I tried probing that mentally and couldn't get through the shielding they had against telepaths. We should have gone in quietly in the Glorious Profit or White Blade with cloaking. Instead Chang did a frontal attack. When the base's shields were downed, Alera and I were transported in to find Metzger. I decided to take the route of the air vents, a place Alera couldn't fit in with her wings. As I was going, the Cardassians who owned the base decided to self destruct it. Alera and I were pulled out just in time. A dozen ships left in as many directions. If Metzger had been on one of them, he could now be anywhere. Chang had the MA repaired at DS2 and then had us head for the Sona homeworld. Yes, the Sona. They had been at that base when Metzger might have been there. I was sent ahead in White Blade to scout things out. Now, I'm on the Sona homeworld and in a bar that is a hangout for soldiers. I just might pick up some information. The MA is behind me and will wait for word, I hope.

It's been a long time since I have done this. We did finally get Metzger to Brikar. First, Alera posed as a genetic scientist specializing in Brikar DNA. Qamtu and I were her assistants. We set this up with the hope the S'ona, who were holding Metzger, would pick us up to work on him. This type of sham I was familiar with and had used before to get at my targets. The S'ona kidnapped us and were having us get Metzger's DNA ready to be implanted in S'ona soldiers to make them super soldiers. I managed to persuade one of the guards watching us to take me to where Metzger was. I memorized the lock's code and got back to the others. Qamtu started a fight and we escaped to Metzger's room where he was being held in a stasis tube. Alera had made a nano bomb and left it behind as we escaped. I carried Metzger out by myself so the others could fight. He was too bulky and cumbersome to allow me to fight too. He was just plain BIG! We transported out just before the place came down on us from the bomb. To then transport Metzger by ship we had to go through Breen space at too slow a rate. While we were doing this, Metzger's heart stopped and I had to restart it. It was a tight spot but I got it going again. The Breen escorted us to Brikar at a higher rate. To be on the safe side, I transported myself, Metzger, the medical equipment keeping him alive and two medical technicians on board White Blade. Now, I'm just waiting to transport to Brikar's surface with Metzger at a medical facility to get him the help he needs.

Now that we have rescued Metzger and gotten him home to Brikar, S'ona has been quarantined. We have been ordered to stand guard and blockade S'ona, with other Federation ships. No ships in or out. We had two ships try to get in to S'ona but we boarded them and handed them over to the Security forces. Interesting. Usually I board a ship alone and secretly. Then I go to my target, eliminate them or retrieve them and get out. It's different having someone with me and being legal too. I did spot a trap the guards had left and stopped Qamtu from touching it and setting it off. We found a strange cargo of people in stasis pods. One looked to be a mercenary. I wonder if the S'ona people were going to use him for DNA material. I didn't tell Chang everything about how I knew he was a mercenary. I could tell it from his build and battle scars. We've also had a fight with some ships trying to get out through the blockade and have boarded one of them. We'll see soon how that battle will go.
