::He smiled:: I'll get some sleep. Hopefully we'll have some down time. I expect the crew to be rested and alert so I'd better set an example.
And There's no need to apologize. I have no porblem being farmiliar with you in private. Rheis is my Family and is how most address me. Those who are close call me by my given name, Iparo. You may use that in private, if you like.
I value and rely on your counsel. Ithink that gives you licence to call me that.

Iparo it is when in privet and Captain everywhere else. You can call me by my name as well when you feel comfortable doing so. Denobians value close connections to those that they work with and live with. Especially with their family all on the ship with them. Tend to be more out going and vocal.
::She smiled at him and then got up. ::
I'll see you soon if there is nothing further you want to talk to me about I'll let you get to bed. I know that many species require 8 hours of sleep or more. Which I am still trying to understand.

Thank you Corlisa. I'm glad we talked. And I think I will get some good sleep. Could give me a mild sedative? It may keep me from waking up as soon and from tossing and turning. I'll wake up more refreshed.
I don't make a hbit of those things, but I think I earned this one.

:: She reached into her bag and got a hypo out and loaded it. ::
I'll give you a quick acting one that is long lasting. I would suggest getting ready for bed and I'll turn around so you can. Then lay down where youwant to sleep at for the night. If you need help I can help you. Not like I haven't seen anything before. With two men and a little boy. Not to mention I'm not a starfleet Doctor so asking isn't against my professional ethics. Plus I know you are not one to give control up unless you absolutly have to. And you have to be at your best for this crew and ship. It is what your family would want if they were still around.

He sat at his desk in thought. Running a Starship had been one thing, but now it wasn;t only running a ship, but keeping it supplied. making deals. Trades. Even having to steal at times.
This didn't always sit well with him but he had set himself on this course, found a good loyal crew, and this was how it was going to be for a while.
The voice of his teacher echoed through his mind, Then suddenly, she appeared sitting across from him.
"You think far too much, my child."
He looked up. "Opaka? how?.....I must be losing my mind."
"I don't think so. I reach out to all my children when they are in need."
She smiled as she always did. As if she knew something she had to teach. So we could all smile.
"You carry much weight, My Child."
"What choice to I have? My crew, my ship, making sure everyone gets what they need, and then on top of all that,..."
"The Colony" She nodded. "A solution is about to be revealed. They will be fine."
Rheis Nodded as if to say "I know".
"And you did not take this all upon yourself. It was not all your doing."
He looked up at her questioningly.
"The Prophets choose the faithful to do their work. To be thier eyes, ears, hands. They choose who is neede the task. They do not even have to be Bajoran. The Emissary was not."
She reached across and touched his hand. He felt it.
"Their streangth is yours. Draw from it. call upon it. You will have it. Let go of these burdens and let the prohets guide. Be free to listen to their will."
She vanished. He heard what he needed. Opaka always gave you what you needed. No more, No less. Still he was afraid something had effected him to give him this vision. Or was it just lack of faith?
He hit the Comm. "Docotor Corlisa, I'm coming to sickbay."

Revelations.....
They had taken a minute to get off the bridge and went to the CO's Quarters. Iparo hadn't seen his quarters yet. They weren't as spacious as the ones on the Ranger, but it was more than adequate for him. All the communications and tie ins with the bridge were there......This was also his office. That's how it was done back in the earlier days of Starfleet. He liked the idea of "Roughing it" a bit from the ultra high tech, complex world he came from. This was going to be much simpler in some ways.
He took a seat on the bed. "I know how difficult this must be for you. I'm not having an easy time of it myself." He smiled.
Rheis Lina stood at attention. “Permission to speak freely sir?” Her eyes remained fixed on the man before her in her father's body taking inventory ~The uniform....was different...but recognizably Starfleet just not any version that she knew of......~ She continued before he could give his assent. "How is this possible? I mean...you LOOK like my father but....." She sucked in a long breath. "....but he's dead sir. Therefore, no matter what you look like.....you can't be him."
"You don't need to be at attention with me." He motioned for her to have a seat. Sighed. "I'm afraid there's going to be no easy explanation for this. My head's still spinning from all that has happened." He looked at her intently. "I understand about your Father, but I want to say first of all, that I AM Rheis Iparo of Bajor! Student of Kai Opaka. I was a Freedom fighter for years defending Bajor from the Cardassians.....
Suddenly, a glow appeared in the room. It grew brighter and coalesced into the form of the man Iparo saw on the Freighter.
"I am sorry" The man began. "We did not intend for you to have to face this burden alone. And the fault is with us, not any of you."
"What do you mean?" Iparo asked.
"Do you both recall the time you gazed into the Orb of despair?"
Iparo nodded.
Lina did the same.
"When you each did that, somehow it was at the same relative time between these universes. We heard the anguish and the cries of a young woman who lost her Father. The deep despair of a Man who lost his daughter, and nearly himself because of it. This Shook the Temple so, that we could not bear the sadness. And it was then realized, that by reuniting this Father and daughter, it would begin a healing process. For you, for this timeline, and for us. It is we who are to blame."
"Are you a.....Prophet?" Rheis asked.
"I have taken this form in order to do this. I must soon return to the temple."
Lina had watched the exchange warily barely resisting the urge to place herself between the being and the man who despite the improbability was apparently her father and her Captain. "I think that was a yes." She scowled. "So... you somehow brought him here? For some reason I can't help feeling there is something more to this than just a happy reunion....."
"Indeed there is" The Prophet spoke softly. "This universe has been plagues with so much war and struggle. This should not have been. This timeline is out of balance. Your Father has the means to help it. Only the full restoration of the Federation will insure peace here. Your Father must use the means at his disposal to make the Federation strong again, or it will cease to exist and this universe will be hurled into bedlam. Only you can insure against this. Then, another hero will rise up and continue the work. But only if you act." He stood up. "We cherish you as beings. This is our gift to you. And the only way you can keep this gift is by giving it away." He then glowed and phased out of the room.
Rheis looked over at his daughter. "I'm from another Universe, Lina. A reality different from this one. But you know what? I don't care. All I know is that I have you back."
An involuntary shiver passed through Lina as she struggled to absorb what the Prophet and her father had revealed. She sank down into the chair at the desk and just sat silently for a few seconds, fighting back tears.
"I'm glad you're here." She responded. "It was....so hard without you, I didn't get out of bed for days...I couldn't function...." She rose and went over to her father and sat next to him. "He said you have the means at your disposal to make the Federation strong again? What did he mean?"
He took her hand gently as she sat next to him. "It was more than hard for me. You...She was helping to build a New Bajoran Colony on a beautiful planet called Milantheus. I was just starting to finish tying up loose ends and sell my Father - Your Grandfather's Estate and was planning to move out there. I wanted to spend time with...you. Ro Laren was going to Govern the Colony. Then, an unknown race called the Imlubari changed all that. They attacked Milantheus. Both Ro and....you were killed in the first exchange defending the Colony. And the Federation was very slow to respond! So I responded in my own way. I sold the Estate, and took my Father's Old ship...The Exodus and joined a militant group called the Maquis. They upgraded my ship and I hired a crew and began running the lines and getting the people off that planet...." He started to cry....
"I just felt so empty! Like I lost my soul. Thank the Prophets for the wonderful companions I have been blessed with. They made me want to keep going. They needed me."
"As far as making the Federation strong again, Lina, our universes are interconnected, but timeline wise things are not in the same sync. Where I come from, we are over a hundred years ahead of you in technology. Here, the year is 2259. Where I came from, it's 2391." He waited for her response.
She reached up and used her fingers to brush the tears from under his eyes and smiled radiantly at him. "You were a hero to the Bajoran people. You fearlessly took your ship against the Cardassians and took out several of them before you where overwhelmed.....but there will be time for stories later.....you said you're from 2391? So you've got new technology on that ship? New weapons?"
Again she continued on without waiting for him to answer her. " Do you know what that means father?" She said finally believing it herself. Lina took both his hands in hers this time and stared at him intently. "You can do it this time. You can save Bajor!"
Her voice was strident with urgency. "The Cardies have raped our home and slaughtered our people en masse. They intend nothing less than total annihilation of Bajor and Bajorans and they're getting close to succeeding...Kai Opaka's retreated with her people to the Dakhur Hills...she's sequestered as many people there as she could manage but they can't hold out forever. We need to help them father." She pleaded. "Now!"
His eyes widened. "Opaka is alive here? Then you're right. We have to act and act fast. I'm going to need your help to get acclimated with things here. I'm not unfamiliar with this ship. This ship was built by Yoshimitsu-Dyno. In my universe, they lost the contract to Yoyodyne. I've examined a few of these ships in my academy days. If I know Moonshadows, She is currently making a list of things to upgrade on the ship. She's kind of a fanatic about that. She's probably foaming at the mouth over what she's going to do to this ship."
He smiled. We have some weapons on the ship that we were delivering. They are very advanced phaser rifles and will be kept on lockdown. With what we have with us, we should be able to upgrade the computer core and have it running about 3 times faster than it is now. And I know how to get more juice out of these engines and make them more efficient on deuterium." He stopped himself for a moment, looking at Lina.
"Baby, we ARE going to do it. Together, we will take our home back!" He leaned over and kissed her forehead.....

::He looked over the plans, recognizing them.::
Hmm. ::He began:: I've seen these. Nice ships. They can do almost anything a Peregrine can and they are faster and more maneuverable. You're not geing to be able to build this to the same specs the ones back home have, but I don;t see any reason why we can't make one.
All I ask is, First, don't dismantle anything we have that is fully functional. And if the thing works, then you have to make me one and one for Lina as well. ::He smiled::
I'm sure we're going to have plenty of opportunities to find spare parts.

Alright. See if they're adequate. And suince we're going to be giving upgrades to all the ships and stations we come to, I'm sure you'll be able to pick up some things there.
In the meantime, let this be a side project. i want you drilling your squadron, and get with Commander Moonshadows On upgrading their onboard processors. That will icrease the reaction time fo the ship. Get your people used to the new systems.
Once we reach Bajor, you'll be flying air to ground attack/Support for Brekke's people. I want those tactical shuttles in top shape.
I want you fully focused for this operation.
