This is where the Captain lives and gets work done while not on the bridge.

::Rheis came into his sleeping chamber off the office. Things were more condensed on this ship than on the new bigger ones, Still, he wouldn't trade this ship for anything.::
::He wondered just how much effeort Starfleet might put into pursuing them after runing the Imlubari border.::
::Even though our technology was better, Starfleet and the Federation did not want a war of any kind. What they weren't thinking about was the fact that if we give them time, the Imlubari will upgrade their technology and then they will attack.::

She rang the chimes to see if he was in there. One capasity or another. She hadn't seen him sence she borded and was somewhat concerned for his well being. She knew the man was probally in the best health he could be in a lifetime, but still her nature told her to check on him. She never seen him in action on the bridge nor down in sickbay on a given day so she was going to come to him. She waited for him to answer.

::He sat at his desk going over crew manifests, and things necessary to run the ship. He regretted not having an executive officer sometimes.::
::He heard the buzzer go off::
Enter. ::He sat back in the chair.::

She came in and let the door shut behind her before she spoke.
"Hello Captain I'm your Doctor. I know you're busy so I desided to come to you. Hope you don't mind."
She put her med kit in one chair and sat in the other one smiling at him.

Of course not, Dr I don't mind at all. In fact, I'm glad you stopped in. Please, sit. Can I get you something?
::He motioned toward the replicator.:: In fact, I'm glad you're here.

She waved her hand in thanks for the offer for something but she was fine.
"As am I now that you put it that way. Is there something I can do for you while I'm here? I dropted in for a medical check on the Captain of the vessle. I know we're not in starfleet or anything, but call it Doctor's progative to make sure the crew is doing well."
She smiled as she put the medical kit down that she had in her hands. Opening it and taking out the medical triquarter turning it on to calaberate it and let it run through its diagnoistic.

I don't know, Doctor. is ther something you can do for me?
I guess sometimes I have doubts. Not about what I'm doing or why I'm doing it, but I ask myself if I'm doing right by everyone else. These are good crew, and they knew full well what this ship is about and what we were going to do.
BUt i guess I sometimes wonder if I'm even in my right mind. Am I doing the right thing/ or am I senselessly leading people to their death?
It's one thing to choose that course for me, but what right do I have to choose it for others?

She looked at him seeing the fight inside of him comming out in his eyes and words as he spoke to her. He answered his own questions all except for the last couple. It was the same fight that she had with herself trying to join the rebellion when she was in acadamy training to be an officer. To drop that all or to work in a broken system. She couldn't help but listen to him and see apart of her in him. She spoke softly.
"Well I don't think you chose what your morals where going to lead you to. The decisions, the choices, the actions. I don't think anyone of us dreamed we would be acting on what we beleive in and know the Federation is capable of supporting. Would ever be in that position but now that we are, by choice, on a ship that has that moral compus to it and a leader that cares not only for the cause but for his crew...there's no limit to what we can accomplish togeather."
She paused for a moment putting the triquarter in her lap. Had to think of how to word it to him.
"I think right now what you need is a friend to confide in, and I'll step up and say that anyone on this crew will listen to your trubles and try their hardest to support you. For without you makeing the hard choices for us we wouldn't be able to save the lives we have. If we weren't in agreement with your vision we wouldn't be on this ship or even considered it. I want this place to be safer for the next generation and your moral compus seams to be making that a possible dream to make happen."
She rubbed her stomach some letting the little one calm down.
"I maybe a healer but I can't solve the fight you have to contiue to beleive in your vision or not. That is something you will have to do on your own. All I know is that I willingly put the life of myself on the line and my baby for what you beleive in because I beleive in it too."

Thank you, Dr. It is my hope that no one have to give their lives. Too many have already.
I believe that I am doing the will of the Prophets. It is said the Prophets move through us, and when a man knows what is truly right and just, then the prophets are guiding his will.
All these thing s were taught to me by a dynamic woman who mentored me in childhood. Her name was Kai Opaka. She was the greatest spiritual leader Bajor has ever had.
When she was lost in the Delta quadrant it was tragic to many. But I believe that I carry our her will as well, for she would want this for those people.

"No one should be alone or without their homeworld in their heart. So feeling scared you are making a mestake is normal, but not letting that fear control your motions to carry out the mission you feel you have to accomplish. Well, needless to say it takes an extrodinary man to do it."
She smiled and then got the triquarter in her hands.
"You up for a scan or you want to talk more? I'm here if you want to talk. A good listener and I don't require alot of sleep. Well maybe more then normal because of the baby but I'm pretty sure you'll still fall asleep before I would."
She chuckled, "I'm sorry I'm a bit nutty right now."

That's alright, Dr. A little Nutty never hurt anyone. I know that Demobulans are reputed to be good listeners. That's why I was happy to have you on the ship.
We'll be just fine, Dr. Sometimes I just need someone to listen to me think out loud. When I can take my words out of myself and listen to them, It makes it easier.
::He leaned back for her.:: Scan away, Dr. ::He watched her take out the tricorder::
You know, Kai Opaka once told me that there are two kinds of people. The first, and most common are the ones who see that a thing needs doing and simply say: "Someone should take care of that" and then Move on.
The second, and probably the most rare, is the one who sees that a thing needs doing, and because he or she sees what must be done and that person makes it their job.
The Prophets reveal to us what they want from us. Having the courage to recognize it and do their wishes is another matter.
::He let her finish her scan::

"I am happy to be on this ship for you are the rare kind of person that your meantor meantioned."
She then leaned back in her chair after taking the readings letting the computer digest it all.
"Go ahead and feel free to move about the scan part is complete. Just got to wait for sickbay to tell me if this is a normal scan or an abnormal one. Which I am exspecting a normal reading. As people with a high spiritual life tend to not get sick as often as those who are not so spiritually minded. Plus you seam to be in good spirits, and in the right mind frame to be doing what you are doing. With the crew and ship you have."

I certainly hope so, Dr. Perhaps it's the fact that I'm altering my lifestyle for all this. Getting used ot having to survive without the umbilical to Starfleet.
I guess I'm trying to say that I didn;t come from a poor Bajoral family. Now this ship, and her refits comprise what is left of my family's fortune. For the first time in my life, at this age, I'm on my own.

She looked thoughtful for a moment and then desided to speak her mind.
"But you are not alone. I was alone when I was out on my own for the first time. For four years I had to trade to survive. That's why I'm ruff around the edges at times and not pollished as other who have been exsposed to the Starfleet way of life. You are lucky having people around you to draw exsperance off of and to be around to listen to you when you need to just talk things out."
She smiled and rubed her stomach seeing the scan results where in.
"Looks like you are a bit sleep deprived from stress but other then that you're perfictly fine Rheis. I mean Captain. Sorry, not use to formality."
