lol. I thought that I recognized that image. That's from the Twilight Zone episode Nick of Time.
A pair of newlyweds stopping in a small town are trapped by their own superstition when playing a fortune telling machine in a local diner.
I heard that William Shatner will not make an appearance in the new Star Trek movie. Of course there are many rumors about this movie, just like every Star Trek movie that ever came out.

That is correct, on both counts; he will not be in the movie as, to my understanding, it is set in "contemporary times" and the story is being told by Spock.
As established in "Generations", he is truely dead ... perhaps we can now have peace....lol
Have you seen the trailers or pics of the new version of the old Enterprise?

I must contribute. As it were, there is still much speculation as to whether Mr. Shatner will make an appearance.
From what I have seen, he has expressed an interest in having some role in the movie. However, there seems to be some talks about his involvement, if any at all.
From a trailer I viewed, I had seen the Starship being worked on by engineers and scientists. Leonard Nimoy had a voiceover, speaking the lines from the opening title sequence. Then the trailer ended.
Suffice to say, anything is possible at this point.

That's interesting, I haven't heard anything about a trailer being released. I'm sure that's going to hype up the rumor crowd a bit, lol.
I hear a lot of negative things concerning the movie, and I also hear a lot of people hoping the movie is not going to be a flop. From what I understand, the new movie has an entire new staff so I would imagine there is a bit of risk on the project.
With Leonard Nemoy on the set, that's a bit of hope in capturing the spirit of Star Trek as Gene Roddenberry imagined it. Assuming that this is true as well.

More importantly, that the actors will portray the original cast accurately. For example, I am thrilled to hear Simon Pegg playing Scotty. Apparently Chris Doohan, James Doohan's son, is also making a cameo. John Cho was a good choice for a Sulu. Eric Bana I typically do not enjoy his work but we'll see how he does in this one. Couldn't do any worse than the Hulk. Zachary Quinto looks enough like Spock. I also cannot believe Winona Rider is going to be in the movie, as Spock's mother no less.

That's absolutely hilarious to find out that Winona Rider is going to be in the movie. Looks like they have made some decent choices in chosing the staff from those that I know. The others, I really couldn't say without looking them up.
What they need to do is add some Klingons to the movie. ::laughs::
