Medical log... I have been remiss in keeping my paperwork done since joining the beq. I have audited all the beq files and have found that all have done their duty by obtaining the annual physicals as required. Children are aboard and thier shots will soon need updating. Some of the other crew as well will be needing the annual physicals. All appear to be healthy as any Klingon warrior should be. I have spoken with the Aj and he assures me that the crew will follow orders about the physicals reluctantly. I expected no less from a crew of this caliber. I have set up several personal experiments that may be useful in the future. On a personal note.. It has been so long since I have heard my footsteps ringing on the floorplates of a star vessel..my heart soars at the feel of it and my blood boils for battle.

:: she speaks into a small medical recorder:: Cheif Medical Officer Askade K'mpok. Serving on the away team I scanned the enemy. I have witnessed something on this mission that I have never come across before. When I took readings of the enemy the readings were off for all of them. The inhabitants of this planet is a mixed culture but true to thier speicies. The readings that I recorded showed that the enemy were copies of the inhabitants. Imposters if you will. I have read about them but this is my first contact with them. They fight viscously. I look forward to further study of them. Personal Note: It has been long since I have been in battle....My spirit soared with the fight and my heart raced with joy as the disruptor fire rang in my ears.

Exhausted she sits at her desk and starts her report: After making our way into the bunker. I organized a med stations and triaged the wonded. Several of our wounded did not make it back to the ship. I made sure that the wounded were transfered back to the ship and oversaw the surgery and treatments. My staff worded well together and did their jobs capably. Only two marines were lost during surgery unseen shrapnel did more damage that first anticipated. The staff after surgery was complete immediately made sure reports for needed supplies were made. Treatment reports were also made and entered into each warriors chart for referance as needed. Several of the less serious wounded have had to be threatened and thier honor minorly questioned to keep them in sickbay long enough for them to heal. The list of dead has been made along with their ranks and years of service this information has been sent to Aj. Personal Note: I have never been busier than aboard this ship. I am still running my personal experiments in my spare time so far I have nothing conclusive the results should be interesting.

A routine checkup...you would think that someone but the CMO could handle a routine children's check-up. Askade stepped from her office and took up the padd that had the children's files uploaded into it for the moment. She scans it so that she knows where each of them are and what was needed. A couple of shots and some measurements general look listen and prod. She walked into the room talking I see you two are in need of a general looking over..from what I have here you are doing well and are only in need of one inoculation each..::her head was down looking at the padd.:: The children were sitting one each on a bio-bed next to each other their mother standing between them. For Klingon children they were well mannered and orderly quiet in the medical room. Their mother was relaxed due to the fact that no one was sick nor were they climbing the walls and trying to run from the exam. Askade steps to the first child and gives her knee a pat absentmindedly. Have you got any complaints today?? She finally lifted her head and looked to the youngest of the two. A high voice of a child rang out through the room:: Where is the honor in being a medical?? Askade's face registered shock at the blatant questioning of her honor. The mother's face also registered shock at the implications of the question. Her hand quickly covered the mouth of the child and she started shushing the girl. I am sorry she is young." the mother started making excuses for the girl" No No...it is fine...she is just being curious and not questioning my honor. I think I would like to tell the children of what I do. The mother nodded and took a seat allowing Askade to have the children's full attention. Askade stepped to the spot the mother had been as the children turned to listen. You know children it really is a good question that you have asked. It tells me that your parents have been teaching you of honor and how important it is. My job is an honorable one even though most don't see it. Your parents have taught you that it is honorable to die in battle correct? She waited while both children nodded. Da says you go straight to Sto'vo'kor ' the little man piped in. She smiled to him and nodded. "Well what happens if you get sick and die. To allow yourself to get sick for no reason and die there is no honor in that. I am here to keep the beq healthy and allow them to fight and die in honor. I keep a check on you as well so that you can grow up and bring honor to your family. That is the way I bring honor to my family by helping others do what they need to do to bring honor to themselves and their family." The children both nodded that they understood. She felt that maybe they didn't get all of it but some of it they did and the childhood chatter began...She laughed and played with the children as she finished their exam testing their strength and reflexes as they played...she finished up with the inoculations and gave each child a small medical toy to take with them back to their quarters. She entered the exam results into the record along with the inoculation report. The children are developing normally along with a strong curiosity indicating a strong learning base. She sat back and smiled to herself hoping she had instilled just a small measure of knowledge to help some other medical officer to be able to give an annual physical without all the argument.

She sat at her desk and looked to the surface...neat..that is not right she always had several things on her desk that she worked with and on at the same time... She had completed the audits of the beq files...her personal experiments were going as she felt they would...those reports had been made as well. She scowled to herself then a thought crossed her mind...yes its time. She pressed the intercom for sick bey and started the evac drill. Lets see how they work as a team. She steped out and watched making notes as to how they worked and how they would evac the sickbay if needed. She shook her head as they did the snatch and grab method of getting the wounded out and she cringed at the way the instraments and meds were treated. They cleared the sickbay quickly enough...but who knows how the instraments will work or if they would and the meds will have to be sorted..this will be a learning lesson to all of them. She looked to the sickbey and the mess that was left and laughed. " I don't think they have ever had this drill before...lets see where they wound up." she thought to herself..."she muttered curses all the way to the medical cargo hold because of the space and accessibility of it. When she got there they were not. She tapped the combadge and contacted her head nurse..." I am in the medical cargo hold...I see no wounded...I see no medical equipment that has not been unpacked and ready to use...I see no medical crew. I do think that you need to bring all that to me NOW!!!!...She waited as they brought everything to her and set up. The medical crew seemed jumpy and nervous. After everything was in place she assembled the medical crew. Has anyone read the evac proceedures for this ship in case of an emergency. She knew it was coming there would be no Klingon alive that didn't think it . Just which one of them were brave enough to say it to her. She was not disappointed. We die on the ship at our stations, a voice rang out in the back as the others snickered thier agreement. She scowled and roared. No we save who we can to fight another day. Now clean this up make sure my instraments are working properly and sort the meds out and put everything back in sickbay. We start learning proceedures tomorrow and none of this will be left to the next shift. She went to her office and sat down at her desk..that went exactly as she thought it would. They were not incompetent as much as stubborn. Drills such as this one was not done because it was expected that you die at your station. A wounded Klingon is a weak Klingon but he can be repaired. They must be given the oppertunity to be repaired. She would make sure under all conditions that they would have that oppertunity. She made her report and started the training outline for her crew. Personal Note. The sickbay beq can run efficiently I am pleased with them. Now it is time to get to know the rest of the beq.

She sat at her desk making the final report after the battle. The revised lists of wounded and dead she reviewed and sent forward so that the families could be notified. The last of the more seriously wounded had turned the corner and she expected no more deaths. Her beq had performed as she wanted them to as a unit. Sickbay triage can now be handled by her head nurse with no worries. She pushes the button for her final report. Medical Log Chief Medical Officer Askade K'mpok: The triage point was attacked by the imposters. The wounded were protected and the imposters driven off with minimal damage to the wounded. Sickbay beq performed as expected improvements can be made. Steps to improve responce time is being implimented. Personal Note: The imposters showed no responce at all while they attacked the triage point. Further study of the imposter is needed if a prisoner can be obtained.

Medical Log Askade Km'pok Chief Medical Officer: The crewman from the station was doing well at the beginning of the shift. He was still unconscious as we neared a star with heavy atmosphere. At the time the creman carried a virus PSI 2000, which is a transmitted virus that can be absorbed through the skin. The virus spread quickly throughout the ship. Most of the beq was infected. When CMO saw readings from the station's crewman showed abnormal readings indicating an infection. CMO searched the database finding the infection and the triggers that causes the halucinations that the virus is able to cause. CMO went to the bridge and took the ship away from the heavy atmosphere of the star. The beq quickly recovered from the effects of the heavy atmosphere and CMO synthisized an antidote. All beq have been vaccinated for the virus. Repairs to the Sickbay have been made no casualties have been reported of the Sickbay beq. Several items will need to be replaced when we next make a station. Personal Note: I have never had to fight for control of myself like that before. A sample of the antidote is going to be kept close at hand as needed for the future.

Medical Log Askade Kmpok: Medical supplies are doing well. We do have to restock on some non-essentials next time we resupply. Lists of medical needs have been submitted for restocking. Medical staff has been doing yearlies for the lower ranked staff. As expected the beq has kept themselves fit and ready for duty. CMO persoanlly completed the yearlies for Medical Staff and will conduct them on the ranked officers as well as needed. I feel no threat of weak warriors with this beq.

Medical log Askade Km'pok:: I have completed the Chief of Engineering's yearly physical. The human is hale and doing well. He reports that he is on a veggitarian diet due to the fact that his system can not handle the Klingon diet. He reports that he grows his own food by hydroponics in his quarters. After reviewing the results of his exams I feel that a protiene suppliment to his diet should be added. The human's mind is sharp with a normal sense of humor for his species. This is a positive for working with a Klingon beq. I have pronounced him metally and physically fit for duty.

Medical Log Askade Km'pok Chief Medical Officer. Away missions are always interesting. This one happened to make my skin crawl. The theives that dared to come aboard this ship and steal supplies dishonored themselves with the way they fought. They were no match for our superior warriors. They could not even bring themselves to sufficiently wound our beq. I feel that they were spared the humility of living. It was merciful in killing them so quick. Some medical supplies were found aboard their ship and I have a team going through it to see if anything can be salvaged. On a personal note. It was good to feel the inner warrior inside me come to the front. It is not often that I am able to just battle outside the simulator.
