(Part 1 "Breath the Power of the Sky" is a short story about several known and unknown characters. However, some of the actions made by certain characters has not been played out in Role Play here. I have done the best I can to assume the personalities of the various characters.)
Garan was located on the bridge of his vessel, the I.K.S. SuvwI' batlh, sitting in his command chair with a scowl upon his face, in a general bad mood this day. He took a glance at the main screen viewer to watch the five Ko'vock fighters taking up a defensive position around the Durq Bird of Prey vessel that as of this moment did not have a named designation. K'ann of the House of Dok'Marr is an excellent fighter pilot commander he thought as he remembered the battle that took place against the Acamarian cruisers. He brought up the log again to watch the daring maneuvers executed in tandem against the Acamarian cruisers. The Ko'vock fighters were not powerful enough for a direct assault against the cruisers and yet with skill they pack a wallop against the veQ that dared to cross the path of the I.K.S. SuvwI' batlh. His scowl turned into a grin as one of the Acamarian cruiser nacelles exploded from a direct and point blank hit from one of the fighter craft disruptors and torpedoes.
He then turned to look at Kaness of the House of Tempec, he nodded as she communicated with the fighter team as they completed their defensive positioning, as well as communicating with Molek of the House of Rujuc while they secured and operated the Durq Bird of Prey vessel and Mycroft Maxwell as he transported to the Durq Bird of Prey to assist in the repairs of the vessel. The technology stored in the main cargobay has to be secured along with the ship and towed to Starbase 24, soon this mission shall be done. The bad mood was returning to him once again as he spoke to Kaness in a commanding voice that he normally had upon the bridge , he done his best to not show it to the rest of his crew, they had success in this mission and were proud of what they done here.
"I am going to the Imperial Database on deck four to read some old records and reports from long ago. For now, record everything that occurs from this moment as you have the conn and command of the meH until I return. If anything beyond the usual happens, contact me immediately, Kaness."
Kaness turned to look at him after he was done speaking, her brownish eyes shimmered with golden flecks dancing proudly from the recent success of the mission and in honor of her parmaqqay. She listened to his command carefully before speaking in response, her voice confident and sure as she looked at her HoD boldly.
"HIja' qaH, as you command. I have the ships logging system recording all actions of the crew and the operations of this vessel from this moment onward. All plans that we have discussed are currently in operation and being carried out, I will see to their conclusion, qaH."
Garan nodded to her as she finished speaking, he abruptly and suddenly got up from his command chair and walked to the turbolift without another word. He did not have to wait long for the doors to open with an ominous sound typical of Klingon vessels. Before he walked into the turbolift, he turned to speak to Kaness.
"If I do not make it back to the meH before the duty shift is over I will speak to you later in your quarters, my parmaqqay."
Without another word he turned around to face the open doors of the turbolift, he then walked in and turned to face the doors as they slid shut with an ominous sound. He then spoke to the computer to give the turbolift instructions.
"Computer, deck 4, destination; the Imperial Databank control system office now."
The turbolift responded to his command as it began it's operation as expected, the turbolift went down and passed a few decks, no other officers had requested to use the turbolift so the trip was shorter than it normally would take. While the operation of the turbolift commenced, his thoughts came to him one after another.
He thought about Kaness, his parmaqqay and how she had honored him with her presence upon the deck of the I.K.S. SuvwI' batlh. She had in turn returned the honor to his heart, Kahless had saw fit to bless his life and career as he continued to be successful at every mission and situation he had faced. His crew honored and respected him during each and every mission and battle that crossed their path, his crew added to his success. Every good commanding officer knew that they could not do it without their crew. He also remembered the famous words of Chang as he spoke to aspiring officers in the Academy. He had asked one of them to tell him about the weapons of the ship, the aspiring officer had answered him with a long list of technical specifications of the ship. Chang had shook his head and spoke with a calm and yet commanding voice.
"No, I do not want to hear about the technical specifications of the vessel, everyone knows these things. Understand that the entire vessel is a weapon, staffed with the finest warriors that the Klingon Empire can call upon. Yes my warriors, all of you are weapons, each and everyone of you."
Many had listened to his words of wisdom, he was said to be one of the finest strategic minds in the Klingon Empire at the time. He had received even more honor when he was destroyed along with all hands in the prototype vessel, it had taken two of the most legendary Federation captains to destroy him. It was also said that if Chang had prevailed, the United Federation of Planets would be in possession of the Klingon Empire this very day. Garan could even imagine Chang giving the same type of speeches to the warriors in Stovo'Kor, the eternal forces of Chang would prevail, he could even imagine them battling against overwhelming odds.
He continued to think about his command and the many words that had been spoken by Chang and the current Qang of the Klingon Empire, Martok. One thought that remained in his mind, first and foremost, that he is a warrior and would be that warrior till the end of his days, Kahless and the dead gods of old be willing. Little did anyone know that he faced the time in his life as many commanding officers had, that the time for being a warrior was perhaps at an end, a thought that he did not want to face. His blood boiled strongly for the battle that would be against overwhelming odds the one that could possibly claim his very life, every warrior looked to that day, nor would he ever want to die old with a stylus in his hand, or to die on Qo'noS witless, where dementia set in to the point where he would not even know his name.
He knew that he had to get control of these feelings as he looked for inspiration, he had his duty to face each day. If anyone wondered what was wrong, the answer would come when the time came. He knew where he was going and what he was looking for from the days of old in his life long ago. As his thoughts came to an end, the turbolift opened to reveal the hallway leading to the Imperial Databank control system office. He walked at a steady pace until he reached the office he was looking for, many passing officers had wondered why Garan was on deck four, he paid no heed to the wondering officers. As he reached the office, the doors opened automatically at his presence. He walked in to the office and over to the nearest console, he took a seat and entered in his authorization code to access the data he was looking for.
